CARSON, Calif. – The Portland Timbers are off to their best start over the first 10 games to start a season in club history after defeating the LA Galaxy 4-2 Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park. The victory pushed Portland into second place in the Western Conference (5-2-3) and extended the team's unbeaten streak to seven matches (4-0-3). The game also marked the fifth time in the last six games that the Timbers have scored three or more goals.
Antony contributed three assists, while four different players tallied for Portland: David Da Costa in the 38th minute, Santiago Moreno in the 53rd, Kevin Kelsy in the 63rd and Jonathan RodrÃguez converted a penalty in the 76th.
