The Storyline
Timbers2 (9-12-6-4, 35pts) close out their 2025 MLS NEXT Pro regular season against the Western Conference and league leading St. Louis CITY2 (17-4-6-5, 62pts).
Last week, powered by a Charles Ondo brace, Portland stormed back from a goal down to defeat Austin FC II 2-1 on the road in Texas. The goals were the Equatorial Guinea international's first ever for T2.
CITY2 have wrapped up the one No. 1 seed in the MLS NEXT Pro postseason. They most recently played to a 1-1 draw with LAFC 2 that saw St. Louis pick up the extra point with a 4-2 PK win.
The two teams last played in a goal-filled 6-3 T2 loss in May that included a brace from Portland's Gage Guerra.
