With World Cup looming, Michael Bradley sparks USMNT in a 2-2 draw with Mexico | 2014 World Cup

Michael Bradley, USA v MEX, 4.2.14

The U.S. played Mexico to a spirited 2-2 draw last night in a World Cup tune-up friendly in Arizona. Head coach Jurgen Klinsmann continues to tinker with with his lineup ahead of this summer's Brazil tournament and last night saw Toronot FC DP Michael Bradley taking over a centralized attacking role for the Americans to much acclaim. Contributing a goal and an assist, Bradley bossed the midfield for much of the first half. Even Mexico head coach Miguel Herrera was duly impressed.

"Bradley looked as if he was the best player in the world,” he said.

Featuring an all-MLS starting XI, the Americans struck first in the 15th minute when Bradley snuck in back post to volley in a pinpoint corner from aporting KC's Graham Zusi

Bradley was at it again in the 28th minute when he flicked on a cross from RSL's Tony Beltran that fell to San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski who buried it into the back of the net.

But the Mexicans stormed back in the second half. Former New York Red Bulls defender Rafael Marquez gave Mexico life with a goal in the 49th minute while Alan Pulido found the equalizer in the 67th minute.
