Throughout the 2013 season, the Portland Timbers Spread The Love project worked to introduce and involve a new community of fans who may have never had the pleasure of experiencing a match in Soccer City, USA. As part of the campaign, we produced a series of small videos and mini documentaries that profiled various recipients of the Spread The Love tickets. Each one had a soundtrack that involved a cover of the classic Elvis Presley tune, “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”
The project was a collaboration between the Timbers front office and some great Portland creative partners including Studio Jelly, the filmmakers from Juliet Zulu, and local bands and musicians organized by Marmoset Music.
Today, we’re happy to announce that a special four song album of the covers is available via download for only $4 with all of the proceeds benefiting the Timbers’ Stand Together Community Fund. The bands featured include:
