Playing in goal is one of the more thankless tasks on a soccer field, but that doesn't mean they miss out on the spotlight entirely. MLS highlight reels have once again been filled with some top quality saves this year, and it's time to give them their proper due.
The 2013 Save of the Year is organized as a World Cup-style tournament, of sorts, and it all culminates in the announcement of the Save of the Year on Thursday, December 5. Just like 2012, the award is decided from all 35 Save of the Week winners.
Voting kicks into full gear with the First Round, where you the fans will narrow the field from 32 saves down to 16..
