The Portland Timbers, Timbers Reserves, and Thorns FC will all play home matches at JELD-WEN Field this weekend. The Timbers take on the Galaxy Saturday night at 8pm (NBC Sports Network), the Thorns battle WNY Flash on Sunday at 2pm (www.portlandthornsfc.com) and the Timbers Reserves play the Galaxy Reserves Sunday evening at 6pm PT--all of which will contribute a lot of coming and going to the stadium.
However, with the Oregon Department of Transportation work on I-84 beginning this weekend, fans traveling to and from the game from the east side of the Willamette River will need to carefully plan their route to avoid delays.
This weekend marks the first of several weekends during which I-84 will be under construction, as ODOT crews repave the interstate between I-5 and I-205.
From 10 p.m. on Friday, June 12 until 5 a.m. on Monday, June 15 all eastbound lanes of I-84 will be closed between I-5 and I-205.
