Timbers-repping Nick Mars takes part in FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Regional Championship Series in Vancouver, BC this weekend

Nick Mars, the Portland Timbers-repping FIFA 17 player, will take part in the FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Regional Championship Series, Season 2 tournament this weekend in Vancouver, BC. Having won the MLS March to Soccer Challenge in March in New York City, Mars now looks to take on the top players in the Americas in a 16 player tournament.


The format takes four groups of four players playing each other in a group stage format within two Xbox One and Playstation 4 divisions. The top two players from each group advance to a knockout round to play for the Regional Championship and a piece of the $100,000 tournament prize. Also, the top three players from each console division will advance to the FIFA Ultimate Team Championship in Berlin on May 20 and 21, 2017. The best of the best from around the world compete there in a 32-player final, culminating with EA SPORTS™ crowning the 2017 Ultimate Champion.
