PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Timbers midfielder Eryk Williamson will miss the remainder of the season after the results of an MRI revealed a torn ACL in his left knee, the club announced today.

Williamson, who suffered the injury in Sunday’s 2-0 win at Seattle, will undergo surgery next week. A timetable for his return will be determined following the procedure.

Williamson has tallied four goals and seven assists in 42 appearances (31 starts) across three seasons for the Timbers. In 2021 he’s recorded one goal and two assists, logging his first two assist performance on May 15 in a 2-0 win on the road against the San Jose Earthquakes. Williamson made his U.S. Men’s National Team debut earlier this summer, adding one assist in four appearances (2 starts) at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
