In Western Conference action Tuesday night, Vancouver Whitecaps FC drew 1-1 with LAFC at Banc of California Stadium. The result earned the Portland Timbers a spot in the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs and set them up for a key game Wednesday night against Real Salt Lake (7:30pm PT, ESPN2).
With a win Wednesday, Portland will clinch the fourth seed in the conference and be assured of hosting a home match in Round One of the playoffs.
