The Portland Timbers concluded their preseason, presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky, match schedule on Tuesday at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Washington, drawing Seattle Sounders FC, 1-1, in the first game of today's doubleheader before a 0-0 result the day's finale.

A late goal by Timbers attacker Dairon Asprilla equalized a Fredy Montero opener in the day's first game, while the teams remained deadlocked over the second match's 75 minutes.

The opening game went to half scoreless before Timbers forward Felipe Mora nearly opened the scoring at the hour mark, only for his shot to be denied by the Seattle post. Two minutes later, Montero gave the Sounders a lead they would hold for the next 23 minutes, with Asprilla's late-game finish of a Yimmi Chara cross leaving the teams tied, 1-1.

With today's draws, Portland finish their 2021 preseason with a 2-1-3 record, having previously gone 2-1-1 during their 10-day stay in Tucson, Arizona.

The Timbers are now seven days away from their first competitive game of the season, an opening-leg, Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League match at Honduras's CD Marathón on April 6. Portland's first home game of the season will take place on April 13 when Marathón visit Providence Park.
