Timber Joey joins Friends of Trees for new plantings as part of Score a Goal, Plant a Tree program

Timber Joey along with Friends of Trees volunteers and Daimler Truck North America gathered this weekend to start the planting of a number of trees in the Portland area as part of the club's Score a Goal, Plant a Tree program.

Introduced in 2011, the SAGPAT program works with Friends of Trees to plant a tree within the Portland community for every goal the Timbers score throughout the season. On Saturday, the group began to plant trees commemorating goals from the 2023 season with each tree receiving a special tag mentioning the goalscorer, date and match.
