The Timbers take the field in FIFA 23

Providence Park has never looked so good
PORTLAND TIMBERS_16x9

FIFA 23 dropped today at 12:00am.

In addition to a host of visual, animation, and game mode upgrades—we think Providence Park has never looked so good—what has us most excited is the inclusion of the women's game, for the first time ever, allowing players to play clubs in the England and France's top leagues, Barclays FA Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema. Players will also be able to join the FIFA Women's World Cup, taking place in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.

Other new playable clubs: the fictional underdogs AFC Richmond, managed by Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso, and the factual underdogs Wrexham AFC, the Welsh fifth-division team recently made famous worldwide by new owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

For Portland-area gamers there's another hook: the Timbers' eMLS Amateur Cup, presented by McDonald's, is coming on October 18, a one-day online tournament with a bunch of prizes, including a spot in the the national eMLS Amateur Cup tournament. Learn more about the prizes and how to sign up here.

Check it out now—and watch the official launch trailer below.
