Despite ending in a scoreless draw, the Saturday afternoon match proved notable: it was Portland's 100th MLS-era shutout (closed out by defender Justin Rassmussen in goal and captain Diego Chara surpassing Kyle Beckerman for second-most games started for one club in MLS history.
