Jeremy Ebobisse's late goal was the difference as the Portland Timbers defeated LAFC, 1-0, Wednesday night at Banc of California Stadium in the 2019 U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals. Here are three key #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


2 The game-winning goal by Ebobisse was his second in his U.S. Open Cup career. Both of Ebobisse's U.S. Open Cup goals have been game-winners for Portland. 


2X4 For the second time in club history, the Timbers have qualified the U.S. Open Cup semifinals. This year's squad joins the 2013 team as the second to reach the final four of the competition. 


5 Portland has delivered five clean sheets in their last six matches. Goalkeeper Steve Clark hasn't conceded a goal in any of his last five starts.
