#StatMan Three | Timbers extend MLS club record for win streak to six

With a brace from Samuel Armenteros and a breakaway goal from Diego Valeri, the Portland Timbers defeated the Colorado Rapids, 3-2, Saturday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from #COLvPOR.

6 Portland won its sixth consecutive match, extending its MLS-era record for longest winning streak. It is the fifth time the Timbers have won six or more matches in a row in all eras of the club (2007, 2004, 1978, 1975).

2With his two goals in the first half, forward Samuel Armenteros scored for the second consecutive match. The brace is the first earned this season by a Timbers player and the first road brace for the club since the 2015 season.

3 The three goals scored are the most Portland has scored at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in 11 matches all-time at the facility. Heading into the game, the last time the Timbers had scored three or more goals in Colorado was 40 years ago when they won 3-1 over the Colorado Caribous in the NASL era.
