#StatMan Three | Timbers Diego Valeri, Fanendo Adi both hit goal marks against Sounders FC

Midfielder Diego Valeri stole the show with two beautiful goals as the Portland Timbers defeated Seattle Sounders FC 3-1 Sunday afternoon at Providence Park. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match.

4 Valeri delivered a brace for Portland, which continues his success against Seattle. The midfielder has now scored in four consecutive years against Sounders FC (2013 MLS Cup Playoffs, 2014 and 2016 regular season, and 2015 U.S. Open Cup).

5 Forward Fanendo Adi also has a penchant for goals against Seattle, having notched five against Portland's Washington rival, all in regular-season matches. Adi and Valeri's five competitive goals against the Sounders are tied for third-most by a Timbers player in the rivalry behind Byron Alvarez and Clyde Best.

7 In the last two home matches against Seattle, the Timbers have scored seven goals. That is the most goals ever scored by Portland in consecutive home games in the series dating back to 1975.
