The Portland Timbers booked their ticket to the MLS is Back Tournament Final with a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union, Wednesday in the tournament semifinals. Here are are three key #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


7 Since the beginning of 2019, forward Jeremy Ebobisse has now scored seven headed goals in MLS play (regular season, playoffs, and MLS is Back Tournament). Ebobisse is tied with former LA Galaxy player Zlatan Ibrahimovic for most headed goals in MLS since the start of last season. 


3 With his own headed goal, Sebastián Blanco has now scored three goals in the competition. Paired with five assists, Blanco is the only player with three or more goals and three or more assists in the tournament. 


4 Portland has now advanced to a final of a competitive tournament for the fourth time as a club. The final will join the 1975 NASL Soccer Bowl, the 2015 MLS Cup, and the 2018 MLS Cup.
