The Portland Timbers were unable to knock off the Sounders on Sunday night at CenturyLink Field, falling to Seattle by a 1-0 scoreline. Here are three #Statman takeaways from the match. 


11Alvas Powell prevented numerous attacks with his quick recoveries and timely tackles. The Jamaican International led the way with 11 clearances for the Timbers out of a total of 26 for the team. 


3 Playing 16 minutes off the bench, forward Fanendo Adi took a team-high three shots against Seattle. In the 81st minute, Adi headed a chip from Ishmael Yartey off the crossbar in what was one of Portland's closest chances of the match. 


90.3 Playing his 15th competitive match against the Sounders, Darlington Nagbe helped conduct the Timbers attack connecting on 89.8 percent of his passes (56 of 62). The midfielder was also fouled five times, bringing his season total to an MLS-high 26.
