4Jack McInerney scored his fourth goal in U.S. Open Cup play, which is the same number of goals the forward has scored in the Amway Canadian Championship. McInerney is the second player to have scored at least four goals in both the U.S. and Canadian cup championships, joining Dwayne De Rosario.
3 With his goal, Dairon Asprilla became the third player in Portland's MLS era to have scored for the Timbers in the regular season, MLS Cup Playoffs, and U.S. Open Cup. The other two players to have accomplished the feat for the Timbers are Diego Valeri and Darlington Nagbe.
0 San Jose was unable to muster in a single shot on target during the match. Since joining MLS in 2011, the Timbers have played 210 matches across all competitions and this was the third time that a Portland opponent finished a match with zero shots on goal.
