The Portland Timbers fell to Minnesota United FC, 2-1, in the semifinals of the 2019 U.S. Open Cup Wednesday at Allianz Field. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


4 Forward Brian Fernandez finished his debut U.S. Open Cup campaign with four goals in this year's competition, becoming the first Timbers player to score in three different U.S. Open Cup games in the same season. 


6Sebastián Blanco was credited with six chances created in the match. Only once in the MLS regular season has Blanco had more chances created in a single match. 


2 For the second time in his career, Jeremy Ebobisse had an assist in a U.S. Open Cup match. Ebobisse now has two goals and two assists in the competition.
