They don't call it the greatest MLS rivalry for nothing.
As part of the SEAvPDX Week, presented by 76® and benefiting the United Way of the Columbia-Willamette's Safety Net program, supporters of both the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders FC faced off with EA SPORTS FIFA 20 in the special SEAvPDX FIFA Showdown, hosted by Matcherino.
For much of the night, both teams were even on wins and losses along with a handful of draws to stay dead even on points. In featured livestream matches on Twitch, Timbers defender Bill Tuiloma battled Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei in a back-and-forth affair that ended in a 2-2 draw. On the eMLS front, Portland's Edgar "RCTID Thiago" Guerrero fell 2-1 to Seattle's Nick "TheMarsBars11" Mars.
While Portland outscored Seattle by 30 goals across the 25 total matches played, it was Seattle that edged Portland by a single win leaving Portland with a record of 9-10-6 and Seattle at 10-9-6.
