The silver lining: Timbers Academy and Timbers2 product Eric Izoita, who was called up to the first team earlier in the day, made his MLS debut and scored in the 73rd minute.
Izoita was one of two Timbers making their debut on Saturday. New signing Alexander Aravena, who joined the team on Feb. 25, was in the Starting XI. The Timbers had several players out with injury.
