Felipe Mora, Timbers vs. LA, 9.2.20

Coming off a rivalry win over Seattle, the Portland Timbers will face Los Angeles FC Sunday at Banc of California Stadium (8pm PT, ROOT SPORTS). Here are five numbers to know for #LAFCvPOR in the latest edition of Quick Strikes.

15 With their ninth-minute goal against the Sounders, Portland has now scored four goals in the first 15 minutes of a match in 2020. That is the most among all MLS teams and doubles Portland's total from 2019.

2Eryk Williamson is the second Timbers player to be named to MLSSoccer.com's  MLS Team of the Week in 2020. Jeremy Ebobisse was named to the Team of the Week for Rounds Two and Three of the MLS is Back Tournament.

3x3 Three different Timbers players have three or more goals this season with Diego Valeri with four and Ebobisse and Felipe Mora with three apiece. No MLS team has more than Portland's three players with three or more goals in regular-season play.

4 Mora's game-winning goal over the Sounders was the fourth different goal scored by a substitute for the Timbers in their nine regular-season games this year. That output matches Portland's total amount of substitute goals in their 34 regular season matches in 2019.

33 Valeri now has 33 road assists in his eight seasons in MLS. His next road assist will move Valeri into the top 10 in the category in MLS history.
