Quick Strikes | Timbers finish up home regular season play for 2018 with strong numbers for Providence Park

Sebastian Blanco, Timbers vs. TFC, 8.29.18

Playing their final home game of the 2018 regular season, the Portland Timbers will take on Real Salt Lake on Sunday at Providence Park (2pm PT, ROOT SPORTS). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvRSL.

2 Following Portland's 4-1 victory over RSL prior to the international break, Sebastián Blanco was named MLS Player of the Week. Blanco is just the second Timbers player to win MLS Player of the Week twice in the same season (Fanendo Adi, 2015).

33 Since the beginning of the 2016 season, the Timbers have compiled 33 wins at Providence Park. Portland's 33 wins are second-most in MLS in that span and three more than any other Western Conference team.

95 With just two matches remaining in the regular season, Diego Valeri has been credited with 95 chances created in 2018. That figure currently sits as the second-most ever for a Timbers player in a single MLS season behind the 103 Valeri had in 2014.

13 In their 16 games at Providence Park in 2018, the Timbers have conceded just 13 goals. Only two teams have allowed fewer goals in home matches this season than Portland.

42 Sunday's match will be the 42nd competitive match played at Providence Park in 2018 by the Timbers, Portland Thorns FC, and T2. That is the most combined matches (MLS, NWSL, USL, and/or U.S. Open Cup) hosted by one stadium this year, eight more than BBVA Compass Stadium.
