Yimmi Chara #2, Timbers vs. LAFC, 10.18.20

The Portland Timbers look to cement their standing near the top of the Western Conference when they square off with the LA Galaxy on Wednesday at Providence Park (7pm PT, ESPN). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvLA in the latest Quick Strikes.

10 In three matches against the Galaxy so far this season, Portland has scored 10 goals. The 10 goals are tied for the most goals ever scored by the Timbers against a single MLS opponent in one season.

2.05 With four regular-season matches remaining, the Timbers are currently averaging 2.05 goals per match. Only 10 teams in MLS history have ever averaged 2.05 or more goals per game in the entirety of a season.

12 Since returning from injury on Sept. 2, Yimmi Chara has played in 12 consecutive matches for Portland. The 12-game streak is the longest current consecutive game streak for the club.

3 Forward Felipe Mora has scored three of his seven goals against the Galaxy. In the last meeting between the two clubs, Mora scored the first brace of his MLS career.

12 After Andrés Flores scored in Portland's last match, 12 different Timbers players have scored in the regular season in 2020. Only San Jose and LAFC have more different goalscorers than Portland.
