3 With another goal last weekend, forward Fanendo Adi has now scored six goals in 2017, half of which have been on the road. Adi is the only player in MLS this season with at least three goals in both home and road games.
10 Portland has started the season having scored 10 goals apiece in the first and second halves of matches. The Timbers are the only MLS team with double-digit goals in both halves this season and just one of four teams that has scored at least 10 goals in either half.
1.75 In 16 MLS regular-season matches against San Jose, the Timbers are 7-2-7 for an average of 1.75 points per game against the Quakes. That is the highest points per game average Portland has against any Western Conference team in MLS play, other than expansion Minnesota United FC.
2 In his fifth season with the Timbers, defender Alvas Powell has already matched a career-high for assists in a season with two.
23 Heading into Saturday's match, Adi and San Jose's Anibal Godoy have both been fouled 23 times this season, which ties them for third-most fouls drawn in MLS. Godoy is also second the league in fouls committed with 21.
