Maximiliano Urruti, Timbers vs. Crew, 5.17.14

Portland is heating up as of late, grabbing a win or a draw in every game since April 27. The Timbers head to Los Angeles from New York, where they started their long road trip with a 2-1 victory on Saturday. Let's take a look at five numbers to know for Wednesday night's match against Chivas USA (7:30pm PT, KPDX).

SecondSaturday's 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls was the second time in 2014 that the Portland Timbers have had a player record a brace. Maximilliano Urruti put in goals at 45' and 74', helping the Timbers grab their first road victory of the season.

3 Portland has its best all-time road goal disparity playing in the StubHub Center against Chivas USA. In MLS, the Timbers have scored six goals to Chivas' three, while amassing a record of 1-2-1. Portland's offense seems to be heating up, it will be interesting to see if that historical trend continues on Wednesday.

FiveUrruti's brace on Saturday ties him forward Gastón Fernández for the team lead in goals for the Timbers at five. Urruti has been on a bit of a tear lately, scoring four goals in his last four games. Portland is 2-0-2 over that span and are now just four points out of a spot in the playoffs in the Western Conference.

4,920 In the midst of a two-game road trip before returning to play Vancouver on Sunday, the Timbers have traveled a total distance of 4,920 miles in less than a week. First, Portland flew to New Jersey to take on the Red Bulls, then crossed the country to land in Los Angeles for Wednesday's game against Chivas. When the Timbers return home to play the Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday, they will have traveled a whopping 5,754 miles.

1,000+ On Saturday, three Timbers players surpassed the 1,000-minute mark for the 2014 season. Will Johnson (1,079) Darlington Nagbe (1,027) and Diego Valeri (1,006) all crossed the millenial divide. All three players have played in 12 games this season.
