The Portland Timbers faced Cascadia rivals Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday afternoon, with Leg 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals at Providence Park.
As clouds closed in overhead, Goose Hollow was buzzing following the Timbers' crazy PK shootout with Sporting Kansas City just three nights earlier.
The match was both physical and back-and-forth. Where the goalposts helped Portland on Thursday against SKC, a close goal that might have been bounced off the post for Maximiliano Urruti in the 89th minute.
Portland controlled the match on their home pitch, and didn't concede an away goal to the Whitecaps. With the score 0-0, the Timbers are in control of their own destiny as they travel to Vancouver.
