#PORvSJ on #RCTID: Taking Care of Business and Valeri (x2)

Social Media Header Oct. 8

They knew what was at stake, and the Portland Timbers took care of business Wednesday night, defeating the San Jose Earthquakes, 3-0, at Providence Park to move back above the red line. The energy in the Rose City was palpable and from the way the fans brought it, there may be a few calling in sick to work or school come Thursday. Here are your posts, pics and videos from #PORvSJ at Providence Park.

The settings were ripe for three points. It was a beautiful Fall (if you can really call it that) night in the Rose City and the moon was right. Kiddos were squeezing in homework right up until kickoff.

Rodney Wallace scored his third goal in five days. I'd say he's regained his form from 2013.

Fans of all ages were getting into the vibe and emotion of the night. And Diego Valeri took over the second half.

The folks from FLIR were on site tonight to show off FLIRONE, a thermal image camera. Fans got to take "thermies," but I wonder what Valeri's would have looked like. He was on fire.

And from above the red line, good night, Rose City.
