Portland Timbers' Diego Valeri captures Week 28's AT&T Goal of the Week with left-footed volley

Make it three for Diego Valeri.

The Portland Timbers defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps in a match with plenty of playoff implications this past weekend, and it was Valeri's stunning left-footed volley just before the half-hour mark that set the tone for the 3-0 victory at Providence Park. That strike from the Timbers playmaker saw him earn the AT&T Goal of the Week honors after he collected just short of 50 percent of the Week 28 vote.

The award is Valeri's third of the season. The Argentine previously won the Goal of the Week accolade back in Weeks 19 and 22.
