MATCH RECAP | Ten-man Portland Timbers come back to draw 1-1 with Orlando City SC

PORTLAND, Ore. – Midfielder Cristhian Paredes earned, then scored, a game-tying penalty kick goal in the 80th minute as 10-man Portland Timbers came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Orlando City SC Sunday afternoon at Providence Park.

30' - CHANCE (POR) - The Timbers' Josecarlos Van Rankin had space on the right wing and crossed a ball towards the back post for a wide open Cristhian Paredes to make a diving header but his shot went just wide of the left post.

52' - GOAL (ORL) - Orlando took a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute as a ball over the top found Júnior Urso near the penalty spot to redirect into the back of the net.

76' - RED CARD (POR) - In the 76th minute, Van Rankin picked up a second yellow card and accompanying red leaving the Timbers with 10 men for the rest of the game.

78' - CHANCE (POR) - Midfielder Santiago Moreno, working the left channel, fired a low shot that was just wide of the left post.

80' - PK GOAL (POR) - Portland equalized in the 80th minute as Cristhian Paredes, cut down in the box a minute earlier, converted his penalty kick attempt to tie the game at 1-1.

90+6' - CHANCE (POR) - Portland nearly took the lead late in stoppage time as they kept they pressure upfield on a free kick. After cycling the ball around the 18-yard box, midfielder Sebastián Blanco got free in the box and hit a shot that forced a finger-tip save from Orlando goalkeeper Mason Stajduhar.
