SEATTLE, Wash. – Despite outshooting Seattle Sounders FC by a 19-8 margin Saturday, the Portland Timbers fell 1-0 in a hard-fought match at CenturyLink Field Saturday. Seattle midfielder Cristian Roldan scored the lone goal of the game in the fourth minute.

3' - SAVE (POR): Timbers goalkeeper Jake Gleeson made an acrobatic, diving save as Seattle's Nicholas Lodeiro shot from distance.

4' - GOAL (SEA): The Sounders scored early as midfielder Cristian Roldan headed a deflected corner kick into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.

12' - CHANCE (POR): Timbers midfielder Sebastián Blanco let loose a low, skipping shot from just outside the box that forced a diving stop from Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei.

25' - CHANCE (POR): Blanco set up another chance when he whipped in a curling cross that was just beyond the out-stretched foot of Diego Valeri near the Seattle back post.

55' - CHANCE (POR): Midfielder Darlington Nagbe took a hard shot that appeared to ricochet off Seattle defender Chad Marshall's arm but no call for a hand ball was given from the referee Mark Geiger.

74' - CHANCE (POR): Coming on in the second half, midfielder Dairon Asprilla beat his man near the right corner before shooting at a tight angle that Frei deflected towards Adi but then covered up.
