PORTLAND, Ore. – Despite holding a 22 to 6 advantage on shots and controlling the run of play for much of the match, the Portland Timbers lost 1-0 to Seattle Sounders FC Saturday night at Providence Park. Seattle's lone tally came in the 76th minute via an own goal.

Match Moments

9' - CHANCE (POR) - On a Timbers corner kick into the box, defender Julio Cascante headed the ball just above the crossbar.

49' - CHANCE (POR) - Timbers midfielder Diego Valeri, carrying down the right channel, uncorked a dipping, swerving shot towards the near post that Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei had to spring to his right to parry away on the short hop.
