MATCH RECAP | Orlando City SC 3, Portland Timbers 2

ORLANDO, Fla. – Despite a penalty kick goal and assist from midfielder Diego Valeri and defender Bill Tuiloma's first career MLS goal, the Portland Timbers fell 3-2 to Orlando City SC Sunday at Orlando City Stadium.

The Lions came from behind with goals from Chris Mueller, Sacha Klejstan and Dom Dwyer.

Match Moments

3' - CHANCE (POR): Portland had a chance early as midfielder Andy Polo, freed up on the left side with a pass from Sebastián Blanco, went straight to goal with his shot. Goalkeeper Joe Bendik got a hand to it and it was then cleared away by the Orlando defense.

11' - BLOCK (POR): A cross from the end line into Orlando's Josué Colman at the penalty spot gave the forward a close shot on target that Portland defender Zarek Valentin managed to deflect away with a timely block.

20' - GOAL (POR): After a VAR review, a penalty was awarded to Portland following a foul on Blanco in the box. The review also rescinded a second yellow card on Blanco. Midfielder Diego Valeri stepped to the spot and lasered a shot into the left corner to give the Timbers a 1-0 lead.

49 - CHANCE (POR): A minute later, Valeri was freed up on the right side with a nice through ball from Paredes. He slipped a shot through that pinged off the far post and away.

59' - GOAL (POR): Timbers defender Bill Tuiloma scored his first career MLS goal as he thumped a header into the top corner of the Orlando goal for a 2-0 Portland lead. Valeri picked up the assist via a pinpoint free kick from the right side of the 18-yard box.
