MATCH RECAP | FC Dallas 1, Portland Timbers 1

FRISCO, Texas – Midfielder Sebastián Blanco scored a spectacular second-half goal as 10-man Portland Timbers gritted out a 1-1 draw on the road against FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium Saturday in Frisco, Texas. It was Blanco's second goal of the 2018 regular-season. Roland Lamah had the goal for the home side.

Match Moments

17' - CHANCE (POR): Pressing in the attack, Timbers midfielder Sebastián Blanco placed a ball across the face of goal just a bit too far for the onrushing Diego Valeri.

35' - CHANCE (POR): Portland nearly caught Dallas sleeping as a through ball to the far corner from Blanco found a hustling Fanendo Adi. Adi cut it back from the end line to Cristhian Paredes but his header skipped wide of the right post.

36' - GOAL (DAL): Dallas forward Roland Lamah found a bit of space near the top of the 18-yard box and threaded a skipping shot into the lower right corner for a 1-0 lead.

47 ' - GOAL (POR): Blanco tied the game in the second half at 1-1 with a fantastic golazo as he fired with his left foot from the top corner of the 18-yard box to find the far side of the net.

68' - CHANCE (POR): After some nice build up from Portland down the right side, Alvas Powell went deep to the end line before taking a sharp-angled shot that was saved by Dallas goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer.

75' - RED CARD (POR): The Timbers went down to 10 men when midfielder Lawrence Olum was called for a hand ball in the opponent's box. Olum had previously been on a yellow and the hand ball call resulted in a second yellow with accompanying red card.

84' - CHANCE (POR): Powell had another chance as he dribbled through numerous Dallas defenders before his low shot just missed the far left post.

86' - SAVE (POR): Gleeson had a timely kick save on a shot from close range to deny Urruti. Defender Zarek Valentin then helped his 'keeper out with a clearance off the line.

The Timbers play the Chicago Fire next Saturday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill. (3pm PT, ROOT SPORTS).
