KeyBank Little Timbers Fan Club (LTFC) members celebrated the season with their annual LTFC Bash on Sunday afternoon at JELD-WEN Field.
Over 200 KeyBank LTFC members and their families ate lunch, played on the field, entered to win prizes and participated in a speed kick competition, trying to beat Bright Dike’s record of 104 mph.
Dike was also available for autographs, along with Timber Joey and Timbers players Chris Taylor, Jose Adolfo Valencia and Ian Hogg.
“I think it’s great to be here with the kids. They have excitement for the game at an early age and being here playing on the field is good for them,” said Dike. “This is how it starts for them.”
“It’s been a great day. It’s been a great program for the kids to see everything and play on the pitch we play on,” added Taylor. “Everyone has a smile on their face, and the kids are so excited to be here. It’s great to be able to mentor them in that way, and help them stay interested in soccer.”
The KeyBank LTFC Bash is one of the annual events held for KeyBank LTFC as well as a stadium tour at the beginning of the season and access to a Timbers training session. KeyBank LTFC is for kids 12 and under and also includes Reserves team season tickets and an exclusive LTFC scarf.
