Jeremy Ebobisse, US U-20s, 3.5.17

Portland Timbers forward Jeremy Ebobisse and the U.S. U-20s Men's National Team won their first-ever CONCACAF U-20s Championship Sunday with a penalty kick victory over Honduras. The team had earlier qualified for the 2017 FIFA U-20s World Cup on Friday with a Group D clinching 2-1 victory over El Salvador on Friday.

Against Honduras, Ebobisse made his fifth start of the tournament, playing 67 minutes in the match. In an even game throughout that saw the U.S. narrowly outshoot the Hondurans 12-11, the game came down to penalties with the Americans prevailing 5-3.

In between his national team duties, Ebobisse also caught Portland's 5-1 win over Minnesota in the MLS season opener.

Next up for the U.S. U-20s will be the U-20 World Cup in South Korea running from May 20 - June 11
