HIGHLIGHTS: Nadine Angerer

Nadine Angerer #3

Nadine Angerer has made many saves in her career. With 127 caps for her decorated German national team, it comes with the territory. A finalist for the 2013 FIFA Ballon d’Or, a two-time FIFA World Cup winner--which included a Best Goalkeeper award at the 2007 edition--multiple Bundesliga and German Cup championships, Angerer may recently be best known for helping Germany win their fifthconsecutive UEFA European Championship this past summer.

And not just win it, but be a definitive wall in the 1-0 win in the final over Norwary. Angerer managed two impressive penalty kick saves--one in either half--to preserve the victory and the shutout for the Germans.

The first, a spectacular kick save came as she was going the other way. The second was an acrobatic leap for a diving stop to her right. See them both above.
