MLS announced today that Timbers forward Franck Boli earned a spot on the Team of the Matchday bench for Matchday 6, thanks to his heroics on Saturday night. The new signing only needed 5 minutes to make an impact.
Boli, who was signed by the Timbers on March 13, made his MLS debut against FC Dallas, coming on as a second-half substitute in the 86th minute. The forward scored his first career goal for the Timbers just five minutes after coming into the match, equalizing the scoreline and rescuing a point from the away trip.
Boli became the 11th player to score in their debut for Portland in its MLS era.
