Guerrero to represent Portland for fourth season in eMLS competitions
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers today announced that the club has re-signed Edgar “RCTID_Thiago” Guerrero as its eMLS competitor for the 2021 season. Guerrero will represent the Timbers in eMLS League Series One and Two, the eMLS Cup and in FIFA tournaments around the world in 2021.
Guerrero enters his fourth eMLS season with the Timbers. The McMinnville, Ore., resident currently ranks in the top 15 in North America on the global series rankings, and advanced to the semifinals of the 2020 eMLS League Series Two hosted in Portland in February. Notably, Guerrero defeated Chicago Fire FC’s BITW7 with a 2-1 stoppage-time winner in the quarterfinals of the eMLS League Series Two event in Portland.
