We asked Linda a few questions after the match.
What was your first memory of/first match supporting the Timbers?
I first started going to games during the USL days before I even moved to Portland. I loved the [Takayuki] Suzuki chant.
What was your favorite moment of the match today?
The moment when Asprilla almost knocked that header in for our first goal of the season was a great moment. And of course, the Pok Pok food!
Who would you nominate as Player of the Match?
The player of the match was Nagbe, and I’m not just saying that because his wife and daughter were next to us during the game.
What is your prediction for the next match – Timbers versus LA Galaxy?
The Timbers will beat LA 2-1. Maybe Nagbe will even score with his left foot!
What else should we know about your Timbers fandom?
Our Army gang plays a T.I.M.B.E.R.S. guessing game to predict the score and goal scorers. At the end of the season, the overall winner with the most points is presented with a trophy to keep for the duration of the next season.
