We asked Claudia a few questions after the match.
What was your first memory of/first match supporting the Timbers?
Our first experience was with the USL Timbers when Gavin Wilkinson and Scot Thompson were defenders. It was a great experience for the whole family. Good soccer, good beer, and parking was across the street from the stadium. We've been season ticket holders since then.
What was your favorite moment of the match today?
It was a toss-up between the 2 goals: The first goal of the season and what we thought would be the winning goal of the match.
Who would you nominate as Player of the Match?
Adi - and we love his joyous celebrations!
What is your prediction for the next match – Timbers versus Sporting Kansas City?
Timbers win 3-1
What else should we know about your Timbers fandom? Any favorite pieces of Timbers memorabilia?
Our guest room is appropriately named the Timber Room. It is decked out in Timber (and Thorns) memorabilia. We also proudly display 2 Timbers flags in our yard.
We were treated like royalty and felt so honored and special. The customer service was excellent, all staff greeted us by name. Thank you so much for treating us so well!
