The 2013 edition of Stand Together Week kicked off yesterday at Dairy Creek Park in Hillsboro with Portland Timbers players Will Johnson, Jack Jewsbury, Diego Chara, Diego Valeri and Timber Joey working alongside KeyBank LTFC members, fans and volunteers to help spruce up the park.
Running from Aug. 4-10, and sponsored by Alaska Airlines, adidas, CenturyLink, Coca-Cola and Providence Health and Services, Stand Together Week is a series of community projects happening across the city involving Timbers and Portland Thorns FC players, club staff and hundreds of volunteers. The week is a chance to volunteer and make a difference in your community. Learn more and sign up to participate!
Volunteers are also encouraged to join the conversation on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #STWeek. With Day One already in the books, here's some images and thoughts from the first event.
